Ringo was quite the odd ball in the group. He could do things that only seemed possible in cartoons. For instance, he could pull out anything that was greatly needed out of his pockets. He could be really funny, run a great distance away from the fans (and the group) and then show up the next second by their (The Beatles) side and show them a way out of trouble.
But the most striking thing about him that stood out was that he always carried a dark blue and orange striped umbrella with him. Everywhere he went he had this umbrella. He slept with it, ate with it, walked around with it and ran away from mad fans with it. He even took it to the bathroom with him.
Sometimes it was a good thing, sometimes it was a bad thing, most of the time it was just in the way of a lot of things. At press conferences Ringo would occasionally spin his umbrella and knock some things down and over and make a big mess. Everyone laughed at his doings but not Brian.

Brian was just about to fall asleep on the couch next to a warm, blazing fire in the stone fireplace when he heard someone stumble down the stairs. He looked up to see if it was him, but it was Paul. Paul didn't say a word because 1) He was too sleeply to acknowledge his manager, and 2) He thought he was asleep.
The bass man went in to the kitchen, Brian heard some water running and then Paul came out with a glass of water and went back up the stairs.
Their winter getaway was a nice place to vacation. A big, tall wooden cabin with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big kitchen with an island table and a lounge room with a large stone fireplace, where Brian was right now, tossing and turning. Trying to get some sleep when all he thought about was that cute little man who said he was the greatest manager in the world and that he would leave the band if Brian ever was replaced.
